Transformation Plan

What Goes & What Stays

Remove / Change

  • Red artificial flower garlands

The ceiling decorations cheapen the space significantly

  • White artificial garlands

Replace with intentional ceiling treatment or leave clean

  • Heavy navy blue curtains

Too dark and heavy for the warm aesthetic

  • Random wall shelving with products

Creates visual clutter—relocate to storage area

  • Black painted wardrobe/storage

Repaint or replace with cohesive storage solution

  • Harsh overhead fluorescent lighting

    Completely changes the atmosphere negatively

  • Bare concrete/terrazzo flooring

Too cold and industrial for spa feel

  • Pink velvet round cushion

    Clashes with intended earth-tone palette

  • Exposed wiring and pipes

Conceal with cable management or decorative covers

Keep / Enhance

  • Infrared sauna cabin

The wood tone is actually beautiful—make it a feature

  • Wooden window blinds

Already have warm wood tones that work with palette

  • Massage beds (grey tone)

Neutral enough to work—add quality fitted sheets

  • Towel warmer/sterilizer

    Professional equipment—keep in storage area

  • Room layout/flow

    Separate zones work—enhance with zoning

  • Standing fan

Functional need—consider upgrading to a nicer model

Key Implementation Tips

Lighting is Everything

The single most impactful change will be the lighting. Remove all harsh overhead fluorescents and replace with warm, layered lighting. Use dimmers everywhere. The goal is a soft, glowing atmosphere that makes skin look beautiful.

Less is More

Resist the urge to fill every surface. A spa should feel spacious and calm. Choose fewer, higher-quality decorative pieces rather than many small items. Every object should feel intentional.

Hide the Functional

Products, towels, and equipment should be stored beautifully but out of sight. Use closed storage and woven baskets. Only display a curated selection of premium-looking items.

Create Zones

Use the room divider screen to separate the treatment area from the sauna zone. This creates a sense of journey and privacy. Each zone should feel complete but connected through the color palette.

The Feature Wall

Paint one wall behind the massage beds in terracotta. This creates a focal point and warmth. The other walls stay cream to keep the space feeling open and light.

Signature Scent

Invest in a quality essential oil blend for the diffuser—eucalyptus, lavender, or a custom blend. Scent creates memory and becomes part of the brand experience.
